You know, I wonder what ever happened to the picture I drew of Taylor Swift. You see, two months ago Taylor Swift came to Salt Lake City on tour, and I am just a huge fan of her! (If you didn't already know) At the end of her show, she has people in the audience chosen at random to come back stage to the "T-Party" and meet her. It's so cool! I sadly wasn't chosen, but where they were meeting I happened to catch just in time.
I kinda figured I wouldn't be chosen to meet her, but come on a kid can dream, can't he? Sadly the women security person had said I wasn't allowed to go backstage, but I did ask if I could at least give them something for Miss Swift herself. She had said fine, like she had nothing better to say, and that's when I hurried and whipped out my portrait of her illustrated above.
The lady had said it was lovely and congratulated me on my work and I merely gave a smile and a quick thank you before heading out. Before I headed out the door I paused right in the center of the stadium in the front of the now empty stage and took a long breathe and smiled. Shortly after that two other security members asked that I hurry on out. Typical. Even in the middle of happiness people can still be rude. Oh well :/
It was a magical night that night though. I may not have met Taylor Swift, but I was still enchanted to see her live. She was so good and gave an amazing performance. From the opening of Sparks Fly (My #1 Favorite Song) to her closing of Ours. It was a night I will never forget; one shared with a sister I truly love, which is what really made it all worth noting.
And now writing about it, here, I won't forget about it. I will always wonder what happened to my best drawing I did of Taylor, but that's what will make it all the more special. :]
