The Best Year I've Ever Had. (Pt. 2)

This year was the best year I've ever had, I only hope 2012 will be just as good. There are a lot of new things coming next year; senior year, making the best yearbook Taylorsville has ever seen, ACT and AP tests, voting for president in the 2012 election, and greatest of all.. turning into an adult :0 I don't really have any resolutions to make, but all I really wanna keep up with is blogging and continuing to be the person I am. I hope your new year is fantastic, and I hope your dreams come true. That sounds corny yah, but it's just how I feel, and that's why I'm here.

I had the time of my life in 2011. :)

Just Ice.. And Not Even Much

Well as boring as my life really is, today I went out to the park by my home and took a few shots (well over 200 pictures) of what it looks like around here. And yeah, there is just ice, and not even that much, but I wish there was snow. And to think that January begins in three days. /:

I'm On My Way

Those nights when you can't sleep because there's a made up tune in your head with words that need to come out and written down. :) *inspired by friends, TS, and especially Sis Brimhall

As I sit and think to myself
Late through the night
I wonder what you're doing
And I hope you're feeling fine

If you're having a real tough day
I'll send you faith to fight
Until I get there just be ready
Cause I'll save you in no time

So I pray to God to help you
And I pray to God to let you know
It will be okay
If you're a thousand miles in a big old city
Or just two houses away
Baby don't you worry
I'm on my way

I don't know who you're with
But I hope you'll wait for me
Cause life can knock us on the ground
But fate can get us on our feet

And if you're having the best day ever
I hope you can promise me this
That when I get there just be ready
To have it again when we first kiss

So I pray to God to help you
And I pray to God to let you know
It will be okay
If you're a thousand miles in a big old city
Or just two houses away
Baby don't you worry
I'm on my way

And whatever you're struggling with
I'll try to help you out
Until we meet, until the day
I'll tell you now
Baby don't you worry
I'm on my way

So I pray to God to help you
And I pray to God to let you know
It will be okay
If you're a thousand miles in a big old city
Or just two houses away
Baby don't you worry
I'm on my way

Limanata! (Lemonade)

Today was a day for returning Christmas gifts. These gifts weren't necessarily things I didn't want, they were things that just didn't fit right or weren't in the best condition as I had hoped. Got most exchanges done, but now my feet are killing me; I waited in line for twenty minutes just so I could get a scarf. It's madness out there. Ha. At lunch though, I got to try one amazing strawberry mango lemonade at Olive Garden + their chicken & gnocci soup with salad and bread sticks! So not a bad day at that. :)

Morning Air

A bit of music..

With photos to take...

And a face that looks sleepy at 8 AM...

Makes for a fun morning. :)

"Black Book"

More Pics of downtown on Christmas Eve, which was rather eerie and empty. Anyway, just learned a crazy definition of what a "Black Book" is. It's a list of person's or things out of favor, or a hit list to punish people. Oh dear... (Does this call for changes to theblackbook??? {Eh no}) Oh well, no need to change such a catchy title all because it could refer to a negative connotation. I mean this isn't a book of people I wanna hurt, I would rather just have people read and enjoy, that's all. Ha... Happy Boxing Day BTW!

The Temple On Eve

On saturday we took our relatives to temple square to see the temple and for them to get in some last minute shopping done at the Deseret Book across the street. It was a really great spiritual and momentous occasion. What is really funny is that my aunt who had served her Mission on temple square ran into one of her companions that she hasn't seen in years. Christmas Eve was really great, and so was Christmas, but now it's boxing day meaning that "woohoo" for you Brits, but "boohoo" for another 365 (well 366 because of leap year) days until Christmas. I just hope Christmas was as great  for you as it was for me.

The Story of Christmas

Happy Christmas Eve! The day before Christmas; it's crazy to think that a month ago it was Thanksgiving, wow time flys. Every Christmas Eve my family has told stories of Christmas. So here's one for you...
I'm sure we all know the story of Christmas, and for those who don't because they just discovered the internet and happened to stumble to this page I'll tell you. Here's the run down version.
It begins with a girl named Mary who is from this little town called Israel. Here she is ↓ She was visited by an angel who told her that she was to conceive a son who would be the Messiah. The Savior Of the World.

Joseph, who Mary was engaged to was then visited by an angel telling him the exact same thing that Mary would conceive a child who was Jesus.

At the time Caesar Augustus said that the whole world would be taxed. So Joseph had to take Mary to his place of origin, Bethlehem, to get registered there. To travel they went by donkey (how cute). But when they had arrived in Bethlehem there was no room in any inn for Joseph and the mother in labor Mary. The only place for them to stay was a newly built stable.

And there, Mary gave birth to the savior and wrapped him in cloths and lied in in a manger.

In the same area there were shepherd tending their flock when suddenly an angel appeared to them to tell them that the savior had been born and that they must see him. Then a multitude of angels appeared and sang glory to God.

Then wiseman from the east having known the signs of the birth of Jesus followed the star, that signified his birth to Bethlehem. They brought him three gifts fit for a king; gold. frankincense, and myrrh.

And that their is a really quick version of the story of Christmas. I hope it wasn't too boring, or too irrelevant. But yeah. The savior is my hero and my greatest inspiration. And I hope that even if YOU don't believe in the story of Christmas you can at least appreciate it's meaning and take it into your daily lives.

Wishing You All A Merry Christmas!
